When an unidentified Australian decided to show his support to the Indian fightback on the first day of the Boxing Day test, little did he know that his bare-all support would create an international incident. The man is now being sought for extradition by Indian authorities after a lawsuit was filed by a Jaipur lawyer whose sentiments were hurt on seeing the Indian flag being desecrated. The lawyer is also taking the BCCI to task in order to make them accountable for what kind of attire is given to protect a streaker’s modesty.

The Rajasthan High Court has issued a directive to the Australian government demanding that the streaker be produced in a Jaipur court to face charges of obscenity and insulting an Indian national symbol. The BCCI are facing similar charges as well. In addition, the lawsuit also names the Star Network for showing the scene, all major newspapers for carrying pictures and all Internet newswires for carrying reports and pictures of the incident. “It is an indecent act and all the media are responsible for glorifying and encouraging such acts,” said Poonal Chandra Bhandari, “very soon you will find that everyone in India will be running around the streets naked with nothing but an Indian flag.” The lawsuit calls for Western culture to be completely banned in.

Bhandari is being hailed amongst his peers as being one of the few people who are willing to stand up against the erosion of Indian culture by Western influences. “Just because cricket is respected by millions of Indians does not mean you can tell them it is okay to cover your back side with our flag,” he said, “soon men will be giving money to women to show their appreciation for dancing to filmi songs.” Sources at the Melbourne Police Department say that the man in question has been let go and it might be a problem finding him again. A confession that would definitely leave the Australians looking bare-faced.

  1. Streaker Says:

Hello my indians friends who I have no motivation in offending. Have you considered the fact that it was an Irish flag wrapped around my “assets” instead of an Indian one? As an Irish man I would look out of place carrying an indian flag around with me! Another slight correction is that I am in my mid-twenties as opposed to mid-thirties and await an apology for this slander from all commentating parties. My biggest upset, which I certainly await an apology for is that I am Irish and not australian as I have previously pointed out. But to sum up I just wanted to clear up the issue of the indian flag…although flattered you would like to fly me out to Indian I feel I would be taking advantage of your confusion over your own national flag! Regards

Its amazing how gullible people can get by perceiving Beef Vindaloo to be an actual news site. And I’m sure the Irish wanted to be Indian in the first place, which is why their flag so closely resembles the Indian flag. True to the Irish nature, folks making the flag went horizontal and also ran out of blue for the chakra. Hence the modern-day Irish flag!!
